6th annual gala

Picture

June 23, 2018 we again gather to celebrate the Lower Grand Coulee at the Westmont Park Rose Gardens. Gates open at 4:00 with a Happy 2 hours and silent auction.  Dinner seating is at 6:00 with a live auction.  We've already collected some very interesting auction items in categories  that have been very popular at past events.  There will be a strong focus on premium Washington state wines.
Unique experiences, art, and custom jewelry will also be featured.

Listed below is a sampling of the items to be offered.

Geological Tour with Bruce Bjornstad - Live auction
Bruce Bjornstad will be in attendance at the Gala and has once again generously donated a special tour. Bruce is a geologist and geoscience author specializing in sedimentology, stratigraphy, geomorphology, hydrogeology, environmental geology and geoscience writing. He is frequently interviewed by the media and sought after by educational institutions from around the world for his expertise.  The tour will include "sherpas" and an al fresco lunch.

Italian Dream Vacation - Live auction
Enjoy a dream vacation at the
Il Nido Apartment, Piazza Garibaldi in Sinalunga, Tuscany:  This 2 bedroom apartment overlooks a lively piazza and includes a panoramic view of the Val di Chiana and famous hill towns in the foothills.  In a 17th century building, you occupy the top two floors, and the private roof terrace too!  It’s perfect for a romantic hide-away with candle-lit dinners, or with 2 bedrooms and en suite baths, invite another couple or bring family. Must be used within 1 years time.
Thank you to Patricia Shelby and Villa & Tourist Services for this generous donation.

Arizona Getaway for Two - Live auction
Leave your worries in Washington and enjoy a three-night casita stay for four in Carefree, Arizona. The casita includes living area, kitchen, and two master suites. The perfect winter getaway with plenty to do - hiking, biking, golf, or baseball spring training. Airfare is included.
Thank you for your continued support and generosity Butch and Lisa Milbrandt

Limited Edition Edward Curtis Photogravures
We are very fortunate to have two limited edition, Edward Curtis photogravures for this year's auction. Edward Curtis was an American photographer and ethnologist whose life work focused on the American West and on Native American peoples. Over the course of 30 years, Edward Curtis traveled extensively throughout Indian territories in order to document the ways of dozens of Native cultures.
Thank you to our own Kim RandolphMeaney with Pillar Rock Realty Group. The board appreciates the knowledge of books and art you bring to our group.

The photogravures are printed on Japanese Gampi Tissue Paper, professionally framed by Anzelini's Frame and Art Gallery in Moses Lake.
